Navigate to: Employee Management → Employee Pay → Direct Deposit

Single Direct Deposit for Entire Net Pay
- Choose status:
Active: Will send a live deposit without testing the validity of the account information.
Prenote: Will test the banking information to ensure validity. The account status will automatically change to “Active” once the verification is completed. During the prenote timeframe, the employee will receive a live check. Prenote should be used whenever possible to verify the account information is accurate. - Choose account type:
Checking, Prepaid Card or Savings: Account type on employee bank documentation - Choose the sequence:
1, 2, 3 (Numbers): Used for partial direct deposits, sequence in order of importance
Remaining Net:
- One direct deposit account for entire employee net pay
- Last account to receive remaining net pay after partial direct deposits - Enter account information and save.
Multiple Direct Deposit for the Net Pay
The Heartland system can accommodate up to 9 different bank accounts per employee.
- Select sequence 1 for the first partial direct deposit, select sequence 2 for the second account, select sequence 3 for the third account, etc. The sequence is the priority of the deposit, with 1 being the first.
- Sequence: Remaining Net. This is the final account to receive the remaining net pay after partial direct deposit(s).
